Yes, clearing the MAHA TET exam is compulsory for candidates who want to get teaching jobs in Maharashtra. The MAHATET certificate is required for teaching posts in government, aided, as well as private schools in Maharashtra state. Candidates need to prepare well and clear the Maharashtra TET exam.
Candidates who are Class 12 pass with a minimum of 50 per cent marks can apply for MAHA TET Paper 1. Candidates also need to have any Diploma or degree in teacher education programme.
