The Staff Selection Commission conducted the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam 2025 from September 12 to 26 and on October 14. The Commission released the application status for the candidates only five days before the exam commencement date. It was for the first time that the SSC CGL 2025 admit card was released only three days before the exam date of the candidates.

The candidates were required to download their hall ticket from the Central portal - ssc.gov.in only and no hall ticket was available on the regional websites. The Commission now has started the facility of Self Slot selection for all the candidates. Now, the candidates can select the slot of examination which suits them. This facility is provided after the exam date announcement. The Commission released the SSC CGL answer key on October 16, 2025. The Commission conducted the exam for the candidates who faced technical glitches in their exam(originally).
