With the rise of COVID-19 cases in India, candidates are urging the NTA to postpone the UGC NET 2021 exam.

India is experiencing the worst COVID-19 situation as of now with around two lakh cases reported on a daily basis. Amid this tense situation and restrictions being imposed by several states to contain the COVID-19 spread, candidates are demanding the postponement of UGC NET 2021 exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is scheduled to conduct the UGC NET exam from May 2, 2021.

Various state boards and organisations have already postponed several exams due to the surge in COVID-19 cases including the CBSE Class 10 exams, NEET PG 2021 and others. Candidates are now urging the NTA to postpone the UGC NET 2021 exam as well. Candidates have even taken it to Twitter, requesting the postponement of the exam. Have a look:

UGC NET admit card 2021

Candidates are waiting for the release of the UGC NET admit card 2021. As per the official notification, the UGC NET exam is set to be held on May 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 17, 2021. Going by the trends, it is expected that the admit card will be released anytime now on the official website- ugcnet.nta.nic.in. However, if the UGC NET 2021 exam gets postponed, then the admit card release date will also get rescheduled.
