The Commission can change the SSC CGL Tie Resolution formula with a simple notice. The candidates should note that the Commission will release the SSC CGL Tie-Resolution formula in the official notification as well in the result pdf. The Commission will also release the SSC CGL Cutoff in a format that will help in arriving at the Tie-Resolution.
The Commission mentioned the principle for the resolution of Tie cases among the candidates in the official notification. The Commission reiterates it in the final result pdf. In the event of tie scores of candidates in Tier 2, merit will be decided by applying the following criteria, one after another in the order, till the tie is resolved:
- Marks scored in Paper-II & Paper-III of Tier-II Examination for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer, respectively, if applicable.
- Marks scored in Section-I of Paper-I of Tier-II Examination.
- Date of birth, with the older candidates, placed higher.
