
JEE Advanced 2026 Counselling: Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct counselling for JEE Adv 2026 qualified candidates in June. JEE Advanced counselling registration will start on June 2, 2026. The complete JoSAA 2026 dates will be announced in May.
All candidates will have to register online at JoSAA official website to participate in the counselling using their JEE Advanced application number. There will be a total six rounds of JEE Advanced counselling 2026.

JEE Advanced 2026 JoSAA Counselling Link
Candidates interested for admissions to all 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 28 Other GFTIs have to register for the counselling once the link becomes active in the official website. The candidates with JEE Mains rank can participate for admission to the NITs, IIITs and CFTIs whereas those having JEE Advanced tank will participate for IIT admissions. Admissions to all the undergraduate academic programmes offered by the participating colleges will be through a single platform.

No, your candidature will be rejected as you need to have minimum of 75% in class 12 to be eligible for admisison to the IITs, NIT, IIITs and GFTIs via the JoSAA counselling. Even if you pass JEE Advanced and JEE Main, of you do not have 75% minimum marks in class 12 boards you will no get admissions.
The JEE Advanced 2026 counselling (JoSAA) will start in June. Note that the counselling for the JEE Advanced qualified candidates for IIT admissions will be conducted jointly with NITs, IIITs and GFTIs admission counselling by JoSAA - Joint seat allocation authority.

Counselling: Jun ' 26
JEE Advanced qualified candidates have to register for JEE Advanced counselling and seat allotment, which is conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
- Registration: Students will need to use their JEE Main roll number and JEE Advanced password as credentials while logging in.
- Choice filling: After registration, candidates will have to select the college and courses of their choice.
- Seat allotment and confirmation: Seats will be allotted to students as per their merit, preferred choices, category and availability. After the allotment of seats, candidates have to download their allotment letter and have to pay the seat acceptance fee.

JEE Advanced Counselling 2026 Seat allotment: Important Points
Students are required to keep the points mentioned below in mind regarding the seat allotment during JEE Advanced 2026 Counselling. Candidates will be allotted seats according to their ranks in the exam:
- Log in using the Registration No (User ID), JEE Advanced 2026 Roll No and Password to check seat allotment status.
- Students should check their status of Seat Allotment at the end of every round, as it may change due to upgradation
- The soft copy of the category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) certificates uploaded at the time of online registration will be scrutinised against originals during seat allocation
- If the certificates uploaded are found to be inappropriate, the student will be treated as General only if their score in Paper-1 of JEE Main is above the cutoff score for the General category.

Yes. Initially the JEE Advanced cutoff is released with the information brochure of the exam. However, the cutoff is usually revised and published again with the JEE Advanced result.
JEE Advanced 2026 Cutoff
Candidates are provided here with the previous year's cutoff of JEE Advanced to get an idea of the marks they need to score for admission.
The aggregate marks will be calculated as the sum of the marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Candidates have to satisfy the subject-wise as well as the aggregate qualifying marks to be included in a rank list.

No, candidates can not raise objections in JEE Adv result. The facility to raise objection is provided only in the answer key. It is clearly mentioned in the IIT JEE advanced 2026 information brochure that any request to re-evaluate in result will not be entertained under any circumstances.

You will not be eligible for admission as preparatory ranks are not considered under round 1. Since you have already qualified to appear for JEE (Advanced), all you need to do is meet the second criterion and apply for round 2, which will be only conducted if seats from round 1 remain vacant.
