CSIR NET Application Form 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to soon release the CSIR NET 2026 application form for the June session in March 2026. It will be released on the official portal at csirnet.nta.nic.in. The application link will be activated along with the announcement of the CSIR NET Notification. The authority will also open the application correction window for a particular deadline. It is advised to the aspirants to go through the CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria 2026 before submitting out the application online form. Those candidates who will fill out the online form will be able to take the exam. Other details of the exam will be published along with the notification PDF.

The CSIR NET 2026 Registration window will be opened for the June session along with the release of the notification in February 2026 at csirnet.nta.nic.in. The CSIR NET Online Form will be released in an online mode. How To Fill CSIR NET 2026 Application Form?

Candidates who are aspiring for JRF and Assistant Professor must complete the online registration, fill the personal details, academic details, select the subject, documents to upload, application fee, etc. Candidates can fill CSIR NET Online Form 2026 as per the methods mentioned below:
Register for CSIR NET 2026
Candidates need to follow the methods as mentioned below:
  • Visit at csirnet.nta.nic.in
  • Click on the link available for submitting the online form
  • Click on the 'New Registration' button
  • Download the CSIR NET information brochure and read the instructions on the page carefully
  • Click on the checkbox at the bottom of the page and click on the 'Click Here to Proceed' button. On clicking the button, the CSIR NET Registration Form will open on the screen
  • Fill in all the given details asked in the registration form
  • Choose a password 
  • Choose a security question and enter the security answer
  • Enter the security pin shown on the screen
  • Click on Submit 
  • Verify the details entered and click on the checkboxes at the end of the page
  • Click on the Final Submit button
Fill CSIR UGC NET Application Form
Next, candidates need to click on the 'Complete Application Form' button and proceed further toward the online application form for CSIR UGC NET. Details that candidates need to fill in the form are given below.
  • Enter the security code shown on the screen
  • Click on Submit
  • Verify the details filled and click on the checkboxes at the end of the page
  • Click on the Final Submit button
Upload scanned photo and sign
Now, candidates need to upload the scanned images of their photo as per the prescribed specifications.
 
Pay CSIR UGC NET application fee
Lastly, candidates need to pay CSIR NET 2026 application fee in online mode through a debit card/credit card/net banking/UPI/Paytm gateway. 
Once the fee is successfully paid, a confirmation page will be generated. Candidates need to print at least three copies of the confirmation page and retain them for future reference.

How to Recover the CSIR NET Application Number and Password?

The CSIR NET 2026 June session application link will be active in the month of February 2026 (tentatively). The authority will also open the application correction window for a limited time duration. Candidates who will fill the CSIR NET June application form will only be able to take the examination. Here we have provided the method to recover the application number if he or she forget. In case, candidates forget their CSIR UGC NET application number, they can recover it by following manner:

  • Click on the CSIR NET application form button
  • Click on the 'Forgot Application Number' link
  • Enter your name, father's name, mother's name and date of birth
  • Enter the security pin shown on the screen

CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria 2026

It is important for a candidate to read once the eligibility criteria before submitting out the application form for the June session. The basic CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria that candidates must fulfil are mentioned below:

CSIR NET Educational Qualification 2026

  • Candidates should have obtained a degree in BTech/BE/BPharma/MBBS/BS (four years)/Integrated BS-MS/MSc with a minimum of 55 per cent marks for General (UR)/General-EWS and OBC (50 per cent for SC/ST, Third gender and PwD)

CSIR NET Age Limit 2026

  • To apply for CSIR NET JRF, candidates should be a maximum of 30 years of age. The upper age limit is relaxable for up to 5 years for SC/ST/Third gender/PwD/Females and up to 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) 
  • There is no upper age limit to apply for the post of Lectureship (LS)/ Assistant Professor

  • Visit at csirnet.nta.nic.in
  • Click on the application form correction tab at the bottom of the page
  • Log in to the registered account using the application number and password
  • Read the instructions carefully and click on the ‘I Agree’ checkbox
  • Make the required changes in the application form
  • Click on the Submit button
  • Verify the entered details carefully
  • Click on the checkboxes under the ‘Parameters checklist to be verified’ header
