The NTA released the UGC NET 2024 admit card for the December session for the exam scheduled on January 3, 2025. For other exam dates, it will be released soon on the official website. The UGC NET 2024 exam will start on January 3 and end on January 16, 2025. Candidates can check below some of the important topics that they can revise for Paper 1. It will help in their preparation. 

UGC NET 2024

UGC NET 2024 Exam: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the UGC NET 2024 exam for the Dec session on January 3, 2025. It will end on January 16, 2025. During preparation, revision plays a vital role. Here we are providing some of the important topics that candidates can revise in Paper 1, and that will help them in their preparation. The authority released the UGC NET 2024 Dec session admit card for the exam scheduled on January 3, 2025. For other exam dates, it will be released soon. The UGC NET exam consists of two papers, namely Paper 1 and Paper 2. It will be conducted as Computer- Based Test (CBT) online mode. The duration of an exam is three hours. The medium of the exam will be English and Hindi.

UGC NET 2024 Paper 1: Important Topics To Revise

Paper 1 of UGC NET test candidates Teaching and Research Aptitude. It consists of ten sections, each with five questions, for a total of 50 questions. Each question carries two marks. Therefore, the total marks are 100. People & Environment: Renewable energy, Pollution related questions, People development and environment, government schemes related to the environment, and natural hazards and mitigation, diseases, climate change, global warming

Higher Education: Government schemes related to education, technical education, education in Ancient India, value education, New Education Policy, important institutions

Communication: Types, nature, characteristics, communication barriers, effective classroom communication

Research Aptitude: Types of Research, research methodology, research ethics, Thesis writing, application of ICT in research

Q:   Is the UGC NET 2025 December admit card released for all the exam dates?

Teaching Aptitude: Nature of teaching, methods of teaching, factors affecting teaching, evaluation system, learners characteristics, teaching aids, evolution system.

Logical Reasoning: Indian logic, analogies, deductive and inductive reasoning and structure of argument, categorical propositions, square of opposition, mood and figure, formal and informal fallacies.

Information and Communication Technology: Basics of Internet, General abbreviation and terminology, emailing, questions related to virus, social media, memory RAM and ROM, Datatype Conversions

Data Interpretation: Bar graph, table related question, Pie chart, mapping and diagrammatic data, quantitative and qualitative data

Reasoning and Maths: Blood relation, distance and directions, coding and decoding, alphabet question, In maths average, percentage, ratio proportion, compound internet number series, time and distance, etc.

Reading Comprehensions: There is no specific topic related to this section. It is crucial for a candidate to read newspapers, practice reading comprehension, etc.
