Fee Benefits Offered by NITs - Category-wise
NITs in India also offer tuition-fee-related benefits to candidates across various categories. For economically backward students claiming waiver of tuition fees, candidates have to produce the Income Certificate of the family issued by the competent authority of the State Government every year afresh. In addition, candidates have to produce an affidavit on a Non-Judiciary Stamped paper of Rs. 100 as per the format provided in the Institute website, should be submitted along with the Income Certificate. NIT Cutoff for BTech Admission
The admission to the B.Tech courses is based on JEE Main and JoSAA counselling. JoSAA releases category-wise and round-wise opening and closing cut-offs/ranks for admissions to BTech and Dual degree programmes in the NITs. Candidates seeking admission into the NITs, have to appear in JoSAA cunselling. Admission to the BTech programmes offered at NITs is based on this single counselling platform. The NIT cutoff depends on the number of candidates appearing in the entrance exam, total candidates applied for admission in NITs, total available seats, and difficulty level of the examination. The JEE Main application form 2026 official website is jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 application form in the official website. Candidates can fill the form from the website.
