Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to release the CTET July 2021 exam notification anytime soon. As per the previous years’ trends, the CTET 2021 exam is expected to be held in the month of July. However, in the wake of the COVID-19 situation in India, there is a possibility that the CBSE might postpone the exam to ensure the safety of candidates.

Earlier, the Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) was held on January 31, 2021. This was the fourteenth edition of the CTET exam that was originally scheduled to be held in July 2020. However, the exam was postponed to January 2021 amid the COVID-19 pandemic and nationwide lockdown.

The CTET exam is held twice every year to enable the candidates in gaining eligibility for classes 1 to 8 teachers. Candidates who qualify the CTET exam become eligible to apply for teaching jobs in KVS, NVS, and other central schools.

Why CBSE could postpone the CTET July 2021 exam?

Due to the worsening pandemic situation in the country, various institutions have already postponed several examinations that were to be conducted offline. Some of these exams are UGC NET 2021, CSIR NET 2021, UPTET 2020, DSSSB 2021, KSET 2021, UPSC IAS 2021 prelims and various others.

If the situation continues to decline, it is most likely that the CBSE may postpone the CTET July 2021 exam. The CTET 2021 exam might be held once the situation eases.
