Overview

CTET Answer Key 2026: The CBSE will release the CTET answer key 2026 for the December session after a few days of the conclusion of an exam. Also, the answer key objection window will be opened for a particular time frame. A direct link to download the CTET answer key will also be provided here once it is released. 

The CTET 21st Edition exam was conducted on February 7, 8 and March 1 (re-exam). The authority also released the final answer key for both the papers; Papers 1 and 2. The final answer key was released after analysing it by the experts about the objections raised against the provisional answer key. CTET Answer Key 2026: How to Download PDF?

The CTET answer key will be released online in the form of PDF for the December session. Candidates will be able to cross-check their answers with the released answer key. It will help in predicting the probable scores. Candidates can download the answer key PDF using the process shared below-

  2. Click on the provisional answer key link.
  3. Login using the application number and date of birth.
  4. Download the PDF.

Candidates can utilise the provisional answer key to guess estimate the expected scores in the exam through the number of questions marked correctly. For each correct answer in the CTET exam, candidates get one mark and for every incorrect answer, zero. This helps candidates in predicting their scores before the CTET result

The 21st edition of the CTET result 2026 was released on March 30 at ctet.nic.in. A total of 597061 candidates qualified the CTET exam 2026. Total candidates registered for both papers were 2649129 and appeared were 2324625. The pass percentage was 25.68.

The CTET answer key is released in two phases- Provisional and Final. The CTET provisional answer key is released soon after the conduct of the examination along with the attempted question paper. The CBSE invites challenges against the provisional answer key. The CTET answer key objections or challenges are then verified by the concerned subject experts. The CTET final answer key is released after the analysis of objections. The decision of subject experts on the challenges is considered final and no further communication is entertained. CTET answer key contains correct answers for all the questions asked in the exam. Details that are present on the answer key include:

  • Exam name

  • Set name
  • Question numbers
  • Correct answer option for all questions

There is no negative marking in the CTET exam. That is candidates will not lose any marks for the wrong answers. The CTET 2026 result will be based on the final answer key and marks that will be awarded for correct answers.

CTET OMR Sheet 2026, Calculation Sheet

The CTET OMR sheet 2026 will be released by the CBSE after the declaration of results. Candidates who want to get their CTET calculation sheet along with the OMR sheet need to apply by paying a fee of INR 500. The prescribed fee needs to be paid through a Bank Draft in favour of the Secretary, CBSE payable at Delhi/ New Delhi. The Calculation Sheet with a copy of the OMR Sheet will be provided to the candidate by speed post only.

The Calculation Sheet will be provided upon the candidate's request after the declaration of results.

The CTET result is not released based on the provisional answer key. The CTET final answer key is the basis for result declaration. The CBSE announced the result based on the final corrected answers given by subject matter experts after analyzing the objections.

Q:   What is the CTET qualifying score for females in Bihar?
A: 

The CTET qualifying marks for females in Bihar are the same as those in other states. Moreover, the CTET passing marks are same for both male and female candidates. Have a look at the CTET qualifying marks for all genders and states below:

Q:   What are CTET qualifying marks for the OBC category?
A: 
The CTET qualifying marks for the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category is 55 per cent. OBC candidates need to obtain 82 marks out of the total 150 marks to qualify the exam. A 81 mark scorer OBC candidate will fail to clear the exam.

The CTET 2026 exam date has been announced by the CBSE. The CTET exam will be held on February 7 & 8, 2026 offline in pen and paper mode. The exam is conducted on a single day in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2. You can get the CTET old marksheet or duplicate CTET marksheet and certificate by visiting the official website of the exam. Follow the steps given below to get the previous years marksheets or certificates:

  • Visit the official website - ctet.nic.in.
  • Go to the 'Duplicate Marksheet & Certificate' link under e-Services.
  • Click on the link given under '2011 to 2016' or '2018 & onwards'.
  • Login using the registered mobile or Aadhaar number.
  • Click on the Get Issued Documents link.
  • Select CBSE >>> Teacher Eligibility Test Mark-sheet or Certificate.
  • Enter the Roll Number and Year of passing.

Q:   Will I get the job after clearing the CTET exam?
A: 

Qualifying CTET exam does not guarantee a job to a candidate. It is only one of the eligibility criteria for teacher appointment. Candidates need to appear for the recruitment process of schools such as KVS, NVS and others to get a teaching job. The school managements consider the CTET scores in the teacher recruitment process. 

Q:   Is CTET valid for lifetime?
A: 

The CTET exam is valid for life time. Earlier, the CTET eligibility Certificate was valid for a period of seven years starting from the date of declaration of result. However, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and CBSE officially extended the CTET passing Certificate validity to lifetime. Candidates need to fulfil the age limit criteria fixed by the respective teacher recruiting body such as NVS, KVS or others. Therefore, candidates can apply for the teaching jobs after qualifying the Central Teacher Eligibility Test CTET however, they must fall within the age limit defined by the respective agency.

Q:   What is the format of CTET Question Papers?
A: 

The CTET question paper contains multiple choice questions- MCQs. There are 150 questions in the exam. The paper carries 150 marks. Candidates need to mark the answers on the OMR Sheet.

Q:   Can I email the answer key objection to CTET Unit?
A: 
No, you cannot email the answer key objection to the CTET Unit. The objection against the CTET answer key can be raised online only. No offline objection or challenge is accepted by the CBSE or CTET Unit. Candidates need to visit the official website to submit their challenges along with a fee of INR 1,000 per challenge.
