UGC NET 2019 June exam has been conducted for day 1 (first shift) i.e. June 20, 2019 in computer-based test mode. UGC NET exam was held for three hours i.e. 9:30am to 12:30pm (20 extra minutes for differently-abled candidates) for both paper 1 and paper 2. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted UGC NET June 2019 exam in more than 260 test centres with facility for CBT mode as well as differently abled candidates (Scribe, wheelchair, helper etc.).
Shiksha exclusively covered UGC NET from exam centres in Sarita Vihar, Delhi, where more than 1000 candidates appeared for the exam. Where, UGC NET 2019 paper 1 was common for all candidates, majority of the candidates at this test centre appeared for Mass Communication, History and Linguistics subjects for Paper 2.

Let us take a look at UGC NET 2019 exam analysis and reviews by the candidates:
Rabeena attempted UGC NET exam for the first time. She appeared for History subject for paper 2 of UGC NET 2019 June exam. As per her paper analysis, she found the exam difficulty level was not that tough however, some of the questions were uncertain. She added that for paper 2, if candidates practice UGC NET previous year question papers and sample papers/mock papers, then the exam would be easier.
Deepshikha, who also appeared for History subject as UGC NET paper 2, shared that the difficulty level was low, and it would have been much easier for candidates who studied this subject from a regular degree course. However, she also added, as the difficulty level of UGC NET 2019 paper 2 was not high; therefore, all candidates would be able to score well in the exam.
Anjali attempted UGC NET this year again, she appeared for the exam last year as well and was successful in cracking it. She shared that this year, the difficulty level of UGC NET 2019 for both papers was easy. She appeared for History subject, and said that since the UGC NET 2019 paper 2 carried subjective questions it was expected to be difficult, however, this year the exam difficulty was on medium level. She also said that since, NTA has made few changes in the exam pattern of UGC NET and now that both the papers are to be attempted in three hours only, it has become easier for candidates. She said that earlier it was difficult as time duration for attempting paper 1 was not enough, but this year she got enough time to attempt both the papers.
Nitesh, who appeared for Mass Communications subject in UGC NET 2019 Paper 2, shared that the difficulty level was medium for him. The overall question paper was easier for him, however, he also added that he did not expect old topics such as Names of Books, Authors, and movies hence, the questions from paper 2 of UGC NET seemed difficult.
Nisha appeared for Linguistics in paper 2 exam of UGC NET 2019, and shared that the difficulty level of question paper was medium however, some of the questions were difficult based on topics such as syntax, Traditional and Structural Syntax, Generative Syntax etc. she said that questions based on Historical Linguistics were easier comparatively. She added, in comparison to last year’s question paper, the paper 2 question paper this year was on a tougher side.
UGC NET 2019 June examinations will be held from June 20 to 28, 2019 (excluding June 22 and 23) in two shifts for all days, check all exam dates for UGC NET June 2019.

No. A candidate will not receive the UGC NET City Intimation Slip by post. The authority will release the City slip on the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates required their login credentials to download the city slip including the application number and date of birth.
