NDA 2020 exam is scheduled to be conducted on April 19. Will UPSC postpone the exam following the outbreak of COVID-19? Read complete details below. 

NDA 2020

Following the outbreak of coronavirus, several recruitment exams have been cancelled in the country. Moreover, the government has imposed 21-days lockdown as a precautionary measure to fight against the disease. The national-level defence entrance exam, NDA, is scheduled to conducted on April 19. Now, the question is will UPSC postpone NDA 2020 exam. It is expected that the exam will be postponed. However, there is an update on the official website regarding the postponement of NDA exam. Until then, candidates need to wait for some time for the official update.

According to the official notification, NDA admit card will be released three weeks prior to the exam. Therefore, the admit card can be expected to be released around March 29. If the exam is postponed, the admit card will also be delayed.

On the other hand, UPSC had deferred IAS Interview which was scheduled to be conducted from March 23 to April 3 owing to the prevailing situation. Besides, the commission has deferred the interview schedule for various posts such as Scientist B, Assistant Professor (Applied Art), Assistant Director (CPDO), etc. The commission has also postponed the application process of IES/ISS.

NDA is conducted for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Wings of National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Naval Academy Courses (INAC). A total of 418 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment exam.

The exam paper of NDA written exam is divided into two parts, GAT and Mathematics. There will be a total 150 questions in GAT while the Mathematics part will carry a total of 120 questions. Each section of the exam will be held for 2 ยฝ hours. The GAT section will be for 600 marks while the Mathematics section will carry 300 marks. The GAT section is divided into two parts. Part A comprises English while Part B consists of General Knowledge.
