VITEEE 2026: Phase II Seat Allotment (OUT), Check Result and Cutoff Details

VIT BTech counselling 2026 is last stage of the admission process. VITEEE 2026 counselling started declaration of results. Candidates who have qualified can participate in counselling process. Through counselling, students will be offered admission to VIT Vellore/AP/Chennai/Bhopal campuses based on their test performance. 

• To participate in counselling, students will have to pay a non-refundable counselling fee of INR 5900/- (which will be remitted on declaration of results)
• Counselling is done in five phases and is common for all VIT group of institutions.

Stages of Counselling

• First, candidates have to register by paying a non-refundable amount.
• Then they have to fill their course choices and campuses according to their preferences.
• Based on submitted choices and seat availability, the authorities will publish VIT seat allotment result on the official website.
• VITEEE seat allotment will be done according to candidate's rank, preferences, category, and availability of seats. After allotment, the admission has to be confirmed before final date.
• Once allotted, campus/fee/category/programme cannot be changed.

Candidates must keep the following documents ready for verification process at allotted campus -

VITEEE Previous Year's Exam Analysis

VIT Engineering Entrance Exam is conducted on multiple days in two shifts. Candidates appearing this year, can check VITEEE previous year's paper analysis below to get an idea about exam.

2026 (With Negative Marking Implemented)	Overall, the maths section was toughest. Many questions were lengthy. Few shifts had questions from plane, matrices, integration, modulus, etc. Many students stated that VIT math questions were of JEE Main level. Questions were also asked from deleted syllabus.	Physics was considered Moderate to Tough. Majority of questions were difficult to solve and lengthy. Some questions were difficult than JEE. Few direct questions were asked. Important topics: graph-based questions, amplifiers, zener diodes, refractive index, etc.	Easy to Moderate. Majority of shift had easy to moderate questions. Some questions from organic chemistry were tough. Overall, chemistry section was moderate.	Was easiest of all sections. Questions were direct.
2025	This section was the toughest (time-consuming) covering conceptual-based questions.  Important topics include: calculus, vector, 3D, probability, and conic sections.	Moderate to difficult. Most questions were formula-based.  Important topics covered: modern physics, current electricity, elctrostatics, and semiconductors.	Was easy compared to other sections. Most questions were straight-forward. Organic chemistry had majority questions. Important topics covered: Isomerism, basic principles of organic compounds.  Physical and organic chemistry had few questions.	This was the most easiest and less-time consuming question. VITEEE English and Aptitude section covered topics from grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, data interpretation, logical reasoning, etc.
2024	Time-consuming and toughest section.  Important topics covered: Calculus, Probability, and 3D geometry	Easy to moderate. Questions were mostly formula-based.  Important topics: current electricity, electrostatics, modern physics, and optics	This section was easy and solvable. Most questions were NCERT-based. Important topcs covered: Chemical Bonding, Co-ordination compounds, p-block elements	This section was scoring and straigh-forward.  Topics covered: grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, data interpretation, logical reasoning, and pattern recognition.

VIT Entrance Exam Result 2026 is declared in rank format. The authorities use normalisation/equi-percentile method to evaluate ranks of candidate. The result is classified in category format, ranging from Category 1 to 5 (which inclines with fee structure). Top VITEEE 2026 rankers have to pay less fees (category 1 and 2) while students with high rank will have to pay more fees (usually fall under category 3 to 5).

• VIT uses normalisation procedure based on percentile score to calculate scores.
• Scorecard of VITEEE is valid for one year.
• There will be no re-evaluation/re-totalling/re-ranking once results are declared.

Overall - VIT April 29 shift 1 paper was moderate to tough. Physics and Maths section was tough and lengthy. Chemistry was moderate, and English and Aptitude section was easy and scoring. Which VITEEE paper 2026 is the toughest so far?

As per student's feedback and experts analysis, the VITEEE 2026 April 29 shift 1 paper was the toughest so far. The questions, especially of maths section was tricky and lengthy. Students have also stated that the questions were simiar to that of JEE Mains level. The VIT 2026 April 29 shift 2 was also moderate to tough with tricky questions in all sections. 

VIT admit card 2026 has been released. Candidats can download their admit card 48 hours before their exam slot. The official website to download is vit.ac.in or otbs.vit.ac.in.

To download VIT exam admit card 2026, students will have to provide their application number and password. Before saving their hall ticket, applicants must check whether exam date and time, name, photo, signature, etc., are mentioned properly or not. Also, one must check VITEEE exam shift timings 2026.

VITEEE Exam Hall Instructions

Students appearing for VITEEE 2026 will have to undergo biometric process for verification. During the test, candidates will be monitored through CCTV. It is strictly instructed that students are not allowed to sit idle for more than 20 minutes and will be closely monitored by the invigilator. In addition, students will not be allowed to leave before end of exam time. Overall, candidates have to maintain discipline and follow VITEEE exam hall instructions as issued by authorities.

NOTE: No scorecard will be generated for VITEEE exam mock test attempt. 

The authorities have released VITEEE exam pattern in the information brochure. This year, there has been a change in the marking scheme. VIT has introduced "negative marking" in VITEEE.  Now, for each question 4 marks are awarded, and one mark is deducted for each incorrect response. Candidates appearing for VIT exam must work on accuracy and time management. 

Candidates appearing for the VIT BTech entrance exam must go through the paper pattern carefully and prepare accordingly. The exam pattern of VITEEE exam include details, such as time duration, marking scheme, mode of exam, etc. The Vellore Institute of Engineering Entrance Exam question paper will consist of 125 MCQs from Physics, Mathematics/Biology, Chemistry, Aptitude, and English.
