CAT 2023 exam date is most likely November 26. The exam will be held in three sessions in about 156 cities across India. The CAT 2023 exam dates will be announced in July 2023 and the registrations will begin in August 2023. Going by the trends of the past few years, IIM Calcutta or IIM Lucknow can be the CAT 2023 convening institute. 

The registration process will be online and the CAT 2023 application forms will be available at iimcat.ac.in website from the first week of August to third week of September. Graduates or final year students can fill the CAT application form 2023.

CAT Exam Eligibility Criteria

The minimum eligibility criteria for CAT 2023 exam is graduation in any stream. Check detailed eligibility criteria for CAT exam below:

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 50 per cent aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45 per cent aggregate for SC, ST and PWD/DA category) from a recognised university.
  • Candidates with professional degree (CA/CS/ICWAwith the required percentage can also appear for CAT.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification or awaiting the result are also eligible to appear in the exam.

CAT 2023 Application Process

  • CAT application forms will be available in online mode only at iimcat.ac.in website.
  • CAT registration is the first step to apply for the exam.
  • Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be allowed to apply.
  • To register for CAT 2023, candidates will require a functional email ID and password.
  • For filling the CAT application form 2023, candidates will need their academic scores of Class 10, 12, bachelor’s degree, personal ID number (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport number etc.), scanned photograph, scanned signature and net banking details.
  • Candidates have to select IIMs and courses in the CAT application form only. They don’t need to fill separate forms of IIMs for MBA admission.
  • CAT application fee is non-refundable and form correction facility will be provided for only certain fields of the form.

CAT 2023 preparation should start at least nine months in advance. Candidates who are planning to appear for the CAT 2023 exam, must start stuyding from February-March. CAT 2023 Admit Card

CAT 2023 admit card will be released at the official website in the month of October. The CAT admit card will be issued to only those candidates who shall have registered successfully and paid the application fee. Given below is the process to download the CAT admit card 2023 from the official website:

  • Go to IIMCAT website 
  • Click on 'admit card' or 'login' tab
  • Enter CAT application ID and password
  • Click on 'admit card' and download the PDF copy

The CAT hall ticket will contain candidate's details and exam date, time, venue, slot and other guidelines. After the admit card has been released, candidates cannot request for change of exam test city or centre. Thus, they must make test city selection in the CAT application form carefully. 

The CAT 2023 admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the examination centres. Candidates must carry two colour print outs of their admit card with a passport size photo affixed on both copies. Digital copy of the admit card will not be accepted by the examination centre staff as a valid document for candidate identification. 

CAT 2023 Answer Key

CAT answer key and candidate response sheet will be released within 5-8 days of exam conduction. The response sheet will help them in estimating the raw score they are likely to get in the exam. Check the steps to download CAT 2023 answer key from the official website:

  • Visit the official website of CAT 2023 (iimcat.ac.in)
  • Click on the 'login' tab
  • Enter CAT login ID and password
  • Click on 'CAT 2023 answer key' will appear on the screen
  • Click on 'download' icon to save it as PDF

The answer key objection window will be opened for 3-4 days for candidates to raise objection against the official CAT answer key. Candidates will have to fill an online form, upload a supporting document to prove the object is valid and requisite fee.

CAT Result 2023

CAT 2023 exam result will be declared most likely in the first week of January 2023. The CAT 2023 exam scorecard will be issued in downloadable PDF format, which can be accessed on the CAT website by using login ID and password. The CAT 2023 result cum scorecard will contain each candidate’s raw scores (sectional and overall) and percentiles (section and overall). Here’s the process to download CAT 2023 result:

  • Log on to CAT website iimcat.ac.in
  • Click on 'CAT 2023 result/scorecard' tab
  • Enter CAT application number and password
  • Go to scorecard section
  • Click on download

CAT Cut Offs for MBA Admission

The CAT cut off percentiles for MBA admission at IIMs is between 95-100 across 20 IIMs. The cut offs of top six IIMs range between 98-100 percentile for General category candidates. If you complete your graduation in August 2021 and appear for CAT 2022 in November then it will be considered as one year gap. If you are preparing for CAT 2022 then some preparation tips would be helpful for you.

25-30 is the age of exploring ourselves to the front of the world about precisely what you are. As you asked about experience, some colleges don't ask for experience, but some colleges might ask for experience in a particular field related to your graduation, this is very rare so don't worry.
