RRB NTPC Recuitment 2026: Railway Recruitment Boards are expected to release RRB NTPC recruitment notification in August 2026. The notification will be released separately for Graduate and Undergraduate posts. RRB NTPC 2026 recruitment notification will be released in PDF form. It comprises the details related to the exam. Separate selection process is followed for graduate and undergraduate posts for RRB NTPC 2026 exam. The recruitment process comprises CBT 1, 2, CBAT/TST, DV and Medical.

The posts announced for RRB NTPC exam are Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains, Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice, and Station Master, etc. Read below for more details on RRB NTPC recruitment.

RRB NTPC Recruitment 2025

The RRB NTPC admit card released on the official and regional websites. Candidates can download it from the direct link provided below. The Board will conduct the RRB NTPC (06/2025) exam for CBT 1 for Graduate posts from March 16 to 27, 2026. The Railway board released the city intimation slip.  RRB NTPC Graduate application status was released on January 20 for CEN No. 06/2025. RRB NTPC recruitment 2025 is being conducted to fill up vacancies in various graduate and undergraduate posts.

RRB NTPC Recruitment Application Form 2026

RRB NTPC application forms for graduate and undergraduate posts were available online.The application fee for all candidates except the fee concession categories is INR 500 whereas it is INR 250 for PwBD/Female/Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class. The process to fill RRB NTPC application form is given below.

The link for application fee refund will be activated soon. The link is usually activated after candidates appear for the CBT. Candidates belonging to unreserved category get the partial refund of application fees for RRB NTPC. Those who belongs to reserved categories are given full refund of application fees. The fee refund is provided to the bank account provided by candidates.

RRB NTPC PG age is 18 and 33 years whereas it is 18 to 36 years for PG post. Relaxation in the age is given to candidates as per government rule. The post-wise educational qualification is given below.

Q:   What are the steps to modify RRB NTPC application form?
A: 

RRBs provide candidates with the facility to modify RRB NTPC application form. Candidates can modify the details entered in the application form online by paying the required modification fees. The process how candidates can modify the details entered in the application form are given below:

  • Login using Registration Number and Password
  • Pay modification fee through any of the modes available for actual examination fee payment. Ensure payment is done well within the date and time prescribed
  • Click on the Modify Application‘ Button
  • Proceed with the changes intended as per instructions given and submit the application. Preserve the print out of the latest application for record

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern 2026

The exam pattern is divided into first stage CBT, second stage, CBAT and Typing Skill Test. Candidates can check below the RRB NTPC exam pattern as per different stages.

Exam stage Exam Pattern

CBT 1

The first stage CBT comprises three sections. The total duration of the test is 90 minutes. The test paper will have 100 objective-type questions. The first stage CBT is qualifying in nature.

CBT 2 

The second stage CBT comprises three sections. The exam consists of 120 questions. The duration of the test is 90 minutes.

CBAT

This test is specific to certain postcodes. The test comprises different test batteries. Each test battery consists of five to six tests. There is no negative marking in the exam.

Typing Skill Test

This test is specific to the post. Candidates will be given to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Computer.

The standard of RRB NTPC syllabus has been formulated keeping in mind the nature of the job profile and is basically based on Class 10, 12, and graduation levels.

Q:   How is RRB NTPC score calculated?

The marks of RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam is calculated based on the total marks. Normalisation of marks are done since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. There are also negative marking in the exam.

Q:   What is RRB NTPC selection process for undergraduate posts?

There will be two stage CBTs for RRB NTPC undergraduate posts followed by Computer based Typing Skill Test (TST) wherever applicable. Typing Skill Test for Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist. Subsequently, there will be document verification and medical examination. For Commercial cum Ticket Clerk and Trains Clerk there shall be two stage CBT followed by document verification and medical examination. RRB wise short listing of candidates for 2nd Stage CBT is done at the rate
of 15 times the vacancies. The short listing for Computer Based Aptitude Test and Typing Skill Test is done to the extent of 8 times the vacancies (may increase or decrease as per the requirement of Railway Administration) based on the merit of the candidates in 2nd Stage CBT. When a candidate is qualified in 1st stage CBT & shortlisted for subsequent stages as OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD he/she will continue to be considered as OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD respectively in all subsequent stages.

The RRB NTPC 2026 Graduate posts difficulty level in general is considered a Moderate. The CBT 1 is basically Easy to Moderate where as CBT 2 is Moderate to Tough due to the level of the questions asked which are advanced and analytical.
