UGC NET 2024 Exam From Tomorrow: Check Important Guidelines, Do's and Dont's

UGC NET 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) from tomorrow: August 21, 2024. As per the revised schedule, the UGC NET June exam 2024 will be held on August 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30, September 2, 3 and 4. Candidates appearing for the UGC NET June exam 2024 must carry their admit card and follow all the guidelines mentioned on it.
The UGC NET exam will be held in two shifts for 180 minutes. The first shift will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm and the second shift from 3 to 6 pm. As per the UGC NET 2024 paper pattern, the exam will be held for 83 subjects including two papers. Paper 1 will be for 100 marks (50 questions) whereas Paper II will be conducted for 200 marks (100 questions).

Important Guidelines To Be Followed During UGC NET 2024 Exam
Candidates can go through the instructions and must follow them while appearing for UGC NET June exam:
- Candidates must reach the exam centre before the time mentioned on the UGC NET admit card
- They must carry their UGC NET admit card along with any photo ID card
- Each candidate will be assigned a seat with their roll number. They must locate and sit in their designated seat only
- Candidates must ensure the UGC NET question paper matches the subject indicated on their admit card. If it doesn't, they should immediately inform the Invigilator
- Candidates must not write questions or answers on any material provided by the Centre Superintendent for writing.
UGC NET Exam 2024 Do's and Dont's
- Candidates must bring one passport-size photograph, identical to the one uploaded on the online application form, to paste in the designated space on the attendance sheet at the exam centre
- They should avoid wearing jewellery or clothing with embroidery or pockets, as it may cause suspicion during security checks
- They must not bring electronic devices, mobile phones, or smartwatches into the exam centre, as these items are prohibited inside the exam halls
- Calculations and rough work have to be done only on the sheet provided at the centres
- No candidate should engage in any unfair practices during the UGC NET exam
