CUET Admission Process
CUET UG Admission Process 2026 for undergraduate admissions is conducted on the official websites of participating universities. More than 200 universities, including central, state, private, deemed, and government universities, offer admission based on NTA scores. The institutions will start their CUET UG Counselling Registration 2026 once the National Testing Agency announces the CUET 2026 result. The result for 2026-27 UG entrance test is expected to be declared in the first week of July 2026.
The universities will release the CUET cut off 2026 for offered courses on their respective websites after their registration window is closed. Candidates who will appear for the CUET UG 2026, submit the university application form, and fulfill the CUET eligibility criteria will be eligible to participate in the counselling process.

When and How to Apply for CUET Colleges?
Candidates can apply for their target CUET college once they release their CUET counselling registration form. Participating universities releases the university application form after National Testing Agency conducts Common University Entrance Test and releases CUET UG result at cuet.nta.nic.in. Commonly asked questions
For admission in Universities through CUET UG 2026, the policies regarding quota, category, relaxation, reservations, qualification, subject combinations, preferences etc of the respective University / Institution shall be applicable. For appearing in CUET exam there is no age limit, however, candidates must check the age criteria (if any) prescribed the university in which candidate is desirous of taking admission.
As the CUET eligibility criteria for admission may be unique for every University, the candidates are advised to visit the University website to which they are applying for their respective course and check the subject mapping criteria and age criteria.

Candidates can apply for CUET score accepting colleges through CUET UG 2026 application form. While filling the application form, candidates will be required to enter the name of the preffered universities and courses in order of preference. On declaration of the CUET results, the scores will be shared with the universities for which candidate has applied. Basis on the score obtained candidate will be shortlisted for the applied course.

To be eligibile for admission at their target CUET participating university, candidates must ensure they follow proper procedure and not miss out anything to avoid disqualification, which may result in a year drop in their career. Students who are appearing for Common University Entrance Exam for udergraduate admission must follow steps below to get admission based on NTA CUET UG scores.
- Register for CUET UG entrance exam.
- Select CUET subjects required for the target course and university.
- Fill and submit CUET application form by paying online form fee.
- Appear for CUET UG exam.
- Ensure to meet eligibility criteria and subject requirements of target university.
- Fill and submit dream university's UG counselling registration form.

Yes, OBC candidates applying for CUET must upload the OBC-NCL certificate in online CUET application form. The OBC-NCL certificate must be issued in consonance with the latest guidelines of the Government of India. If candidate fail to upload the OBC-NCL certificate (issued on or after 01 April, 2024) at the time of CUET 2025 registration, then in such case they will have to upload a declaration in lieu of OBC-NCl certificate to that effect.
Candidates belonging to reserved categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules prescribed by Government of India. However, in the case of central universities admission, the reservation criteria of the respective university shall be applicable.
Yes, you will have to appear for the CUET counselling rounds of the central universities. Admission to central universities is offered based on CUET UG scores. Candidates must note that class 12th marks will not be considered for final admission to UG courses of central universities. Class 12th marks are used for tie-breaking criteria. Candidates must ensure to appear for Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses to qualify for counselling rounds.

For admission to the desirous University/Institution, the candidates must appear in CUET 2026 in the Languages and Domain Specific subjects as per the Program-Specific Eligibility for which s (he) is desirous to take admission. For instance, if a candidate wishes to apply for B.Com (Hons.) programe in Delhi University he/she will be required to make the subject combination as :
Combination I: Any one Language from List A + Mathematics/Applied Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1
OR
Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Accountancy/Book Keeping + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1
Candidates are advised to check CUET programme-specific eligibility criteria before filling the application form, failing which they will not qualify for further admission process.
The CUET UG cut off is determined by CUET participating universities seperately. Parameters on the basis of which CUET UG cut off is released are:
- Total number of candidates that appeared for the CUET UG exam
- The number of seats offered by the participating universities through CUET UG
- The difficulty level of the CUET exam
- Overall performance of the test takers (pass percentage/ score range, etc.)
CUET cut off is based on the percentile of the candidate. To calculate the CUET percentile following formula is applied:
100*Number of candidates appeared in the session with a raw score is equal to or less than a candidate/ total number of candidates appeared for CUET UG.
Students can access the CUET UG cut off list only after the cut offs are released by the CUET UG participating universities. The following steps should be followed to access the CUET cut off list of universities candidate is desirous to take admission in.
- Visit the official website of the applied and participating institutes
- On the homepage, click on the link to the current academic session CUET Cut Off
- A new login page will open on screen. Enter the credentials and submit
- Now, you can access the CUET UG cut off list when released
The above steps will be applicable only if instittues release the CUET UG cut offs. Otherwise, if the institutes release merit lists carrying their scores, then the minimum score would be considered as the CUET UG cut off. Universities like Delhi University does not released CUET cut off. Candidates will know the college/course allocated on the basis of the preferences filled by the candidate while filling the application form.

How to Calculate Scores for CUET Admission Process?
To calculate a candidate's scores in CUET UG exam, their raw scores are converted into percentile scores through CUET Normalisation Process. This is done to be fair to all students scoring same marks in the entrance exam. The process of converting raw scores into percentile includes following steps:
- Find the total number of candidates (N) who appeared for the exam.
- Arrange all the candidates from one shift in decreasing order based on their CUET raw scores.
- For a given candidate with a raw score (T), count the number of candidates (M) who have scored equal to or lower than T.
- Apply the following formula to calculate the percentile score (P):
P = M*100/N

No, Bokaro Institute of Medical and Health Sciences admissions do not require CUET. The institute offers merit-based admissions. Students simply have to pass Class 12 with PCM/ PCMB/ PCB and a minimum aggregate of 45% from a recognised board.
