IIT Patna Open House: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna hosted its Virtual Open House welcoming JEE Advanced 2025 qualified candidates and their families to gain an in-depth understanding of the institute’s academic landscape, research strengths, and vibrant campus life. Designed to support informed decision-making, the interactive session highlighted IIT Patna’s globally relevant academic programmes, cutting-edge infrastructure, thriving research environment, and robust placement and internship support.

The Open House featured insightful presentations and live Q&A sessions with IIT Patna’s leadership, including Director Prof. T. N. Singh, Associate Dean (Undergraduate) Dr. Sushant Kumar, Associate Dean (Student Affairs) Dr. P. K. Tiwari, as well as several faculty members and current students. Participants gained valuable perspectives on the institute’s student life, shaped by a wide array of clubs, cultural events, and extracurricular activities that promote holistic growth.
The event also offered a comprehensive overview of 32 academic and minor programmes spanning 18 disciplines, along with key highlights of IIT Patna’s distinctive offerings such as: A unique interdisciplinary Dual Degree (B.Tech–MBA) programme offered in collaboration with IIM Mumbai and IIM Bodh Gaya, aimed at nurturing future leaders through a blend of technology and management education. Additionally, a structured six-month industry internship provides students with valuable real-world experience and professional exposure.

The session also covered essential details about the JoSAA counselling process, IIT Patna’s international research collaborations, and the comprehensive student support systems available at the institute. No, direct admission is not available for undergraduate studies at IIT Patna. It's purely on the basis of candidates' performances in JEE Advanced. For postgraduate, it may be either on the basis of their GATE scores or by entrance examinations conducted by respective courses.
JoSAA 2025 counselling choice filling last date is June 12. Note that, once the JoSAA choice filling window closes candidates will not be allowed to edit the choice list. This means candidates will not be able to change the order of the selected choices or add any more course in or delete any course from the choice list after the deadline for choice filling.
