JEE Advanced 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has declared the JEE Advanced Result 2026. The link to check scorecard is available in this page and also the website jeeadv.ac.in. JEE Advanced 2026 cutoff and toppers list has been also announced along with IIT JEE 2026 results. JEE Advanced 2026 Topper AIR 1 is Shubham Kumar and Arohi Deshpande is the female topper with AIR 77.

A total of 1,79,694 candidates appeared in both papers 1 and 2 in JEE Advanced 2026. A total 56,880 candidates have qualified. Out of the total qualified candidates, 10,107 are female candidates. All qualified candidates can now participate in JEE Advanced 2026 counselling organised by JoSAA for admission to various IITs. The schedule of JoSAA 2026 has been announced.

IIT Roorkee conducted the JEE Advanced 2026 exam on May 17. The response sheet of candidates who appeared in the exam was released on May 21 and the provisional JEE Advanced 2026 Answer Key on May 25. The facility to challenge provisional keys was available from May 25 to 26. JEE Advanced final answer key was released along with the results on June 1. JEE Advanced 2026 review, difficulty level analysis for both Paper 1 and 2 is available. The exam had two Papers - Paper 1 and Paper 2, conducted in two shifts on the same day. What is JEE Advanced?

It is an entrance exam for admission to bachelor's programs in science and engineering at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). There are a total of 18,160 undergraduate engineering/science seats across all 23 IITs, with admission through JEE Advanced. A few universities outside India, like the University of Cambridge and the National University of Singapore, also consider JEE Advanced scores for admission to their courses.

JEE Advanced exam is organised by one of the seven zonal IITs under the guidance of the IIT Joint Admission Board (JAB). The exam tests the skills and knowledge of aspirants in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The JEE Advanced total marks, number of questions, and marking scheme are not fixed and changes every year. The structure of test is decided by the organising institute.

Indian nationals interested in applying for IIT JEE Advanced have to first appear in JEE Main conducted by NTA and score marks above the Cutoff percentile. In addition to qualifying NTA JEE cutoff, candidates also need to fulfill JEE Advanced eligibility criteria 2026 of age, number of attempts, and year of passing the class 12 board exams in order to be eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced paper. JEE Advanced AAT 2026

Candidates who wish to get admission in BArch program at IITs have to appear in the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT). Only those candidates who qualify JEE Advanced 2026 will be eligible to appear in AAT. The BArch program is available at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee only. No separate admit card will be issued for AAT. The downloaded admit card of JEE (Advanced) 2026 has to be printed and produced in the AAT examination hall, along with the original photo identity card.

Candidates must register online at the JEE (Advanced) 2026 online portal for AAT between June 1 to June 2, 2026. The test will consist of one paper of three hours duration in the English language only. Candidates should bring their own drawing and colouring aids. The results of AAT will be declared on the JEE (Advanced) 2026 online portal.

Complete paper analysis, JEE Advanced 2026 review and difficulty level is available for Paper 1 and 2. The Paper 1 exam was overall difficult with Mathematics being the toughest of all three subjects. There were total 48 questions in Paper 1 from all three subjects. JEE Advanced 2026 Admit Card

IIT Roorkee issued JEE Advanced admit card 2026 to all registered candidates for appearing in the exam. The admit card could be downloaded from the official website till May 17, 2026 using their registration number and date of birth. At the exam centre, they have to carry a print out of their admit card and their original photo identity card. Without these documents, they will not be allowed to attempt the exam.

The admit card will have details about the candidate's name, exam date, roll number for JEE Advanced 2026, JEE Main Application Number, photograph, signature, date of birth, address for correspondence and category.

For JEE Advanced, NCERT is necessary but not sufficient; hence would refer to all the assignments, packages, and modules given to me by my teachers for preparing for JEE Advanced.
Started taking full-length mock tests around 2 weeks after completing my JEE Advanced syllabus for the first time, around 8 months before JEE Advanced.
The strategy in the exam was to complete one subject at a time in the order CPM rather than going in rounds and switching subjects too frequently. But would not recommend everyone to follow the same strategy; rather, discuss it with your teachers.

JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Pattern

It is to be noted that the JEE Advanced exam pattern is not fixed and it changes every year. The complete information about exam pattern of JEE Advanced is not announced before the exam, except the type of questions that will be asked in paper and total test duration. JEE Advanced pattern change in previous years can be evaluated by analysing the past year question papers. Some important point of the JEE Advanced exam pattern 2026 are:

Exam is conducted ONLY in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode
JEE Advanced exam consists of two question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper is of three hours duration, and both papers are compulsory
Both paper will consist of three separate sections - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
Both papers will have single select MCQ, multiple select MCQ, questions having answer as numerical value (NAV) and Matching type questions.
Marking scheme of JEE Advanced is not fixed and varies each year. Negative marks may be awarded for incorrect answers to some of the questions. Details of the marking scheme are provided to candidates at the time of exam

Instructions to Fill JEE Advanced Form

The application process differs slightly for Indian and foreign nationals as mentioned here.

Step 1: Select your mode or registration - JEE Main 2026 qualified candidates or direct registration for foreign nations

If Indian candidates with score above JEE Main 2026 cutoff, click on candidate login and enter your JEE Main 2026 application number, password to fill form
If foreign nation, select direct registration for foreign candidates link and proceed to register

Step 2: Fill JEE Advanced Form 2026

For JEE Main candidates, most personal and academic details will be aut filled from NTA JEE Main database. However, candidates will be required to add some additional details like educational qualification, test city preference etc for JEE Advanced.
Foreign candidates need to fill complete details like name, date of birth, gender, category, mobile number, email ID, address ets.

Step 3: Upload Scanned Documents

Next, candidates have to upload all scanned documents. The list of all necessary documents required for uploading is given here. Also, all the documents must be scanned as per the specifications mentioned in the information brochure. Documents list is different for Indian and foriegn candidates.

JEE Advanced 2026 Counselling - JoSAA

DeskCalendar Counselling: Jun ' 26

The registration for JEE Advanced counselling will start on June 2. The counselling will be organised by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) which is a common counselling for JEE Main and Advanced candidates. To participate in the JEE Advanced 2026 counselling, candidates have to register online at the website josaa.nic.in.

Allotment of seats in the IITs, NITs, IIITs and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) will be done online in six rounds. Candidates who get a rank in JEE Advanced 2026 will be allotted seats at IIT whereas NTA JEE Main candidates will get seats in NITs, IIIT and GFTIs. JoSAA is held online only and all the candidates who are eligible for admission have to participate in the joint seat allocation process by filling in their preferred choices of courses and institutes.
