
JEE Advanced 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has declared the JEE Advanced Result 2026. The link to check scorecard is available in this page and also the website jeeadv.ac.in. JEE Advanced 2026 cutoff and toppers list has been also announced along with IIT JEE 2026 results. JEE Advanced 2026 Topper AIR 1 is Shubham Kumar and Arohi Deshpande is the female topper with AIR 77.
A total of 1,79,694 candidates appeared in both papers 1 and 2 in JEE Advanced 2026. A total 56,880 candidates have qualified. Out of the total qualified candidates, 10,107 are female candidates. All qualified candidates can now participate in JEE Advanced 2026 counselling organised by JoSAA for admission to various IITs. The schedule of JoSAA 2026 has been announced.
IIT Roorkee conducted the JEE Advanced 2026 exam on May 17. The response sheet of candidates who appeared in the exam was released on May 21 and the provisional JEE Advanced 2026 Answer Key on May 25. The facility to challenge provisional keys was available from May 25 to 26. JEE Advanced final answer key was released along with the results on June 1. JEE Advanced 2026 review, difficulty level analysis for both Paper 1 and 2 is available. The exam had two Papers - Paper 1 and Paper 2, conducted in two shifts on the same day. What is JEE Advanced?
It is an entrance exam for admission to bachelor's programs in science and engineering at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). There are a total of 18,160 undergraduate engineering/science seats across all 23 IITs, with admission through JEE Advanced. A few universities outside India, like the University of Cambridge and the National University of Singapore, also consider JEE Advanced scores for admission to their courses.
JEE Advanced exam is organised by one of the seven zonal IITs under the guidance of the IIT Joint Admission Board (JAB). The exam tests the skills and knowledge of aspirants in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The JEE Advanced total marks, number of questions, and marking scheme are not fixed and changes every year. The structure of test is decided by the organising institute.
Indian nationals interested in applying for IIT JEE Advanced have to first appear in JEE Main conducted by NTA and score marks above the Cutoff percentile. In addition to qualifying NTA JEE cutoff, candidates also need to fulfill JEE Advanced eligibility criteria 2026 of age, number of attempts, and year of passing the class 12 board exams in order to be eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced paper. Foreign nationals are exempted from appearing in NTA JEE Mains, they can apply directly for JEE Adv.

JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2026- Complete Details
A candidate is eligible for JEE Advanced if:
- They are among the top 2,50,000 candidates in JEE Main Paper 1 (BE/BTech)
- Fulfill creiteria of age limit for JEE Advanced. Must be born or or after October 1, 2001. Age relaxation of 5 year is given to SC/ST and PwD candidates
- Can appear in the exam twice in two consecutive years, from the year of passing class 12
- Passed class 12 in 2025 or 2026
- Not admitted to IIT earlier except in preparatory courses
Note: Foreign nationals or OCI/PIO candidates need to full fill eligibility criteria except JEE Mains cutoff conditions.

JEE Advanced AAT 2026
Candidates who wish to get admission in BArch program at IITs have to appear in the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT). Only those candidates who qualify JEE Advanced 2026 will be eligible to appear in AAT. The BArch program is available at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee only. No separate admit card will be issued for AAT. The downloaded admit card of JEE (Advanced) 2026 has to be printed and produced in the AAT examination hall, along with the original photo identity card.
Candidates must register online at the JEE (Advanced) 2026 online portal for AAT between June 1 to June 2, 2026. The test will consist of one paper of three hours duration in the English language only. Candidates should bring their own drawing and colouring aids. The results of AAT will be declared on the JEE (Advanced) 2026 online portal.

JEE Advanced 2026 Paper Review and Difficulty Level Analysis
Complete paper analysis, JEE Advanced 2026 review and difficulty level is available for Paper 1 and 2. The Paper 1 exam was overall difficult with Mathematics being the toughest of all three subjects. There were total 48 questions in Paper 1 from all three subjects. A few questions in Maths were from Functions, Indefinite integral and applications of integrals.
JEE Advanced 2026 paper 2 exam had 48 questions. As per JEE Advanced paper 2 review, difficulty level and paper analysis the exam was moderate in difficulty. Physics was toughest among all three subjects followed by Mathematics and Chemistry.

JEE Advanced 2026 Admit Card
IIT Roorkee issued JEE Advanced admit card 2026 to all registered candidates for appearing in the exam. The admit card could be downloaded from the official website till May 17, 2026 using their registration number and date of birth. At the exam centre, they have to carry a print out of their admit card and their original photo identity card. Without these documents, they will not be allowed to attempt the exam.

Aspirants must keep in mind that exam difficulty level cannot be determined by organising body. JEE Advanced paper is not made by one single IIT; but it is prepared by experts from multiple institutes. Difficulty level of exam is independent of the IIT conducting exam.
