JEE Advanced 2022: IIT Bombay will conduct JEE Advanced on August 28. Paper 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. JEE Advanced 2022 registration will commence on August 7. The last date to apply for JEE Advanced 2022 CBT exam is August 11. Apart from that admit card, answer key and result dates have been also revised. The JEE Advanced dates have been pushed back because NTA decided to delay JEE Main 2022 which is now scheduled for June 20 to 29 (session 1) and July 21 to 30 (session 2).
Currently, candidates can practice the JEE Advanced 2022 mock test over the official website. This year the top 2,50,000 candidates in JEE Main 2022, will be able to register for JEE Advanced. New in JEE Advanced 2022:
- Candidates who had registered for JEE Advanced in 2021 but did not appear, can also apply and appear for JEE Advanced 2022. Such candidates must have appeared in the class 12th (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2020 or 2021.
- Candidates who appeared in the class 12th (or equivalent) examination in 2020 for the first time, and have appeared for JEE Advanced in 2020 or 2021, can appear for JEE (Advanced) 2022. These candidates should appear in JEE (Main) 2022 and meet the cut-off score of the top 2,50,000 successful candidates.
- JEE advanced 2022 syllabus will be the same as the past years. But syllabus will change from 2023 onwards.

What is JEE Advanced 2022?
JEE Advanced is a national level engineering entrance test. Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced is conducted by any one of the 7 IITs namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB).
In 2022, JEE Advanced is being conducted by IIT Bombay. Only the top 2.5 lakh candidates of JEE Main are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced. Qualifying candidates are granted admission into undergraduate courses leading to a bachelor's, Integrated master's, Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Architecture. Admissions are offered via a common process by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) to the candidates acquiring ranks in JEE Advanced.
The courses offered by the IITs via JEE Advanced 2022 are BTech, BS, BArch, BTech and MTech dual degree, BS and MS dual degree, Integrated MTech, and Integrated MSc.

JEE Advanced 2022 Mock Test
JEE Advanced 2022 mock test is available on the official website. There are 2 mock tests available for the exam - Mock test 1 and Mock test 2. Candidates must take the mock tests to know the exam pattern, analyse their own preparation for the exam, understand the demand of the exam, and so on.
Mock tests have the following benefits:
- Candidates can check the difficulty level.
- They can analyse their preparation so far.
- They can get used to the computer-based test format.
- Candidates can also practice tie management, speed, and accuracy.
JEE Advanced 2022 Application Form
Only those candidates who secure JEE Main 2022 rank among the top 2.5 lakh candidates are eligible to fill the JEE Advanced application form. The application process is online and the form is available only on the official website.
- As the first step, every student needs to register through the official website by providing their JEE Main 2022 roll number, password, and security pin.
- As the second step, Students have to enter various personal details like their name, parents’ name, communication details, address details etc. in the specific columns of JEE Advanced 2022 application form. The details entered in the application form must be accurate as the incorrect details may lead to the cancellation of candidature at later stages.
- Students will also need to enter their choices of exam centres while filling out the application form.
- Apart from the details, students will also need to upload the scanned images of their passport size photographs and signature.
- After submitting all the details, students must take multiple printouts of the final application form for future requirements

Candidates will have to upload scanned documents in the online form. The required documents are given below:
- Class X certificate if the date of birth is mentioned in it or the birth certificate.
- Class XII (or equivalent examination) certificate
- Class XII (or equivalent examination) certificate
- If the candidate’s name is not the same as in the Class X certificate, a gazette notification showing the change of name.
- Caste certificates as needed.

JEE Advanced 2022 Eligibility Criteria
There has been a relaxation in the eligibility criteria this year. The candidates can check the eligibility for appearing in JEE Advanced 2022 below.
There are 5 criteria:
JEE Main 2022 scores: Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in BE/BTech Paper of JEE (Main) 2022. The number of candidates to be allowed in JEE Advanced 2022 category wise can be checked below.
Age limit: Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1997. Five years of age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, i.e, these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1992.
Number of attempts: A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
Appearance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination: Candidates who passed class 12 in 2021 or 2022 are eligible for JEE Advanced 2022.
Exceptions in this criterion this year:
- Candidates who appeared in class 12th (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2020 OR 2021 AND successfully registered for JEE (Advanced) 2021 but did not appear in any of the papers can apply for JEE Advanced 2022. Such candidates do not have to fit into any other criteria.
- The candidates who have passed class 12 or equivalent in 2020 should have appeared for JEE Advanced only once, either in 2020 or 2021. They must also pass JEE Main 2022 and have ranks among the top 2.5 lakh candidates.
Earlier admission at IITs: A candidate should NOT have been admitted to an IIT irrespective of whether or not the candidate continued in the program OR accepted an IIT seat by reporting “online” / at a “reporting centre” in the past.

JEE Advanced 2022 Exam Centres
The exam centres of JEE Advanced 2022 are to be placed across various cities in India only. JEE Advanced 2022 will not be held in any foreign nation.
Candidates shall be allowed to choose the test cities of their choice and preference while filling out the online form. JEE Advanced exam centres are divided into seven zones namely, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Bombay, IIT, Kharagpur, IT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Madras. Candidates will be asked to choose their zone basis their preference, at the time of filling out the JEE Advanced 2022 application form. The centre will be allotted to the chosen centres by the candidates. Details of the centre like the address, name, reporting time, etc will be available with the JEE Advanced 2022 admit card.

Check the question paper pattern, marking scheme, time, etc details of the JEE Advanced 2022 exam below:
- Mode of the exam: Examination will be conducted ONLY in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
- Number of papers: JEE (Advanced) 2022 will consist of two question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 of three hours duration each. Both papers are compulsory.
- Language: English and Hindi
- Total duration: 6 hours
- Marking scheme: The marking schemes change each year. Negative marks may be awarded for incorrect answers to some of the questions. Details of the marking scheme will be provided in the “Instructions to Candidates” section at the time of examination.
- Number of sections: Each question paper will consist of three separate sections, viz., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Below are some of the prep tips that students must follow to score well in the exam:
- Students must start their JEE Advanced preparation early. It will help them to complete the syllabus timely, clear doubts, revise it thoroughly and appear for the mock tests.
- Next, prepare a suitable timetable and stick to it throughout the preparation. Try to cover the entire syllabus.
- Students must have an in-depth understanding of all the basic as well as advanced concepts. It can be done by solving questions on a regular basis.
- Maintain good health and mental stability. JEE preparation can be stressful. Take time off or breaks between study hours and relax.
JEE Advanced 2022 Admit Card
Candidates who successfully register for JEE Advanced 2022 by paying the application fee, are issued the JEE Advanced admit card 2022. The test centre is allotted via the admit card only.
On the day of the exam, candidates must carry a printed copy of the downloaded admit card and their valid original photo identity card, any one of the following:
- Aadhaar Card
- School/College/Institute ID
- Driving License
- Voter ID
- Passport
- PAN Card
- Notarized Certificate with photograph
Only candidates having a valid admit card and photo identity card are allowed to write the examination. Only pens, pencils, drinking water in a transparent bottle, a downloaded admit card and an original photo identity card are allowed to be taken inside the examination hall.
JEE Advanced 2022 Answer Key and Response Sheet
The provisional answer keys for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 are displayed on the online portal. After the display of provisional answer keys, the candidates may submit their challenges, if any, on the candidate portal. The final answer keys are displayed on the website, after considering the candidates’ challenges. The marks will be awarded in accordance with the final answer key.
The responses of the candidates who have appeared for BOTH Paper 1 and Paper 2, recorded during the exam, will be available for viewing, downloading and printing from the JEE advanced portal.
JEE Advanced 2022 Result
JEE Advanced 2022 result is announced online. Candidates have to login to check their scores and download the scorecard. Text messages will also be sent to the candidates to their registered mobile numbers. Individual rank cards will not be sent to candidates.
The marks obtained by a candidate in Physics in JEE Advanced 2022 will be equal to the marks scored in the Physics part of Paper 1 plus the marks scored in the Physics part of Paper 2. Marks obtained in Chemistry and Mathematics will be calculated in the same way. The aggregate marks obtained by a candidate in JEE (Advanced) 2022 will be the sum of the marks awarded to the candidate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. A candidate is said to have qualified in JEE (Advanced) if they secure the minimum percentage of marks in each subject and in aggregate, as per the respective category.
Ranklist: Rank lists are prepared based on the aggregate marks in JEE (Advanced) 2022. Only candidates who appear for BOTH Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be considered for ranking. There will be no waiting list for ranking.

AAT 2022
BArch program is available at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee only. Candidates desirous of joining the BArch (Architecture) program will have to pass the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT). Only those candidates who have qualified in JEE (Advanced) 2022 are eligible to appear in AAT 2022. AAT will be conducted at all IITs. No separate admit card will be issued for AAT. The downloaded admit card of JEE (Advanced) 2022 has to be printed and produced in the AAT examination hall, along with original photo identity card.
Candidates must register online at the JEE (Advanced) 2022 online portal for AAT. The test will consist of one paper of three hours duration in English language only. Candidates should bring their own drawing and colouring aids. Results of AAT will be declared on the JEE (Advanced) 2022 online portal.

The seats across IITs, NITs, IIITs and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) will be offered and allocated through a common process by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), to be held in online mode for the current year. No all the deemed Universities don't ask for JEE marks they just need that you have appeared in JEE exams. They don't ask for marks for JEE. But some deemed Universities ask for JEE scores for admission in engineering field in any department.

There is certain qualifying criteria for being eligible to appear JEE advance examination. You have to qualify JEE Main at least like you have to clear cutoff according to your category then you are good to go.

Aim for the JEE Advance and prepare for JEE Advance. If you have prepared well for the JEE Advance, then automatically you can crack the JEE Mains Exam.
