The Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main) is one of the most competitive and important examinations in India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts JEE Main at the national level in computer-based mode for admission to UG engineering courses like BE/BTech/BPlanning/BArch offered by the top engineering institutes like NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, as well as several best state and private engineering colleges across the nation.

JEE Main is also the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced, which is required for Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) admissions. Around 10 to 12 lakh candidates appear for JEE Main, and of them, only the top 2.5 lakh become eligible for JEE Advanced.
