A. I had expected a good score but getting a perfect score was a pleasant surprise. I scored 100 percentile and have secured All India Rank (AIR) 5. I got full marks in all subjects (100/100 in physics and chemistry and 96/96 in mathematics).

Q. Why do you want to study engineering?
A. My parents and my brother, all are engineers. Also, I am interested in mathematics and computer science, so I was always attracted to this field.
Q. When did you start your JEE Main preparation?
A. I started my JEE Main preparation when I was in Class 10. I took coaching from Allen Career Institute Private Limited to prepare for JEE Main 2023.
Q. What was your JEE Main preparation strategy? Which subject did you focus on more and why?
A. I strictly followed coaching classes schedule and cleared my doubts after every chapter. I was interested in physics because it was easy to relate physics problems to daily life.
Q. Are there any specific books that you think helped in your preparation?
A. Yes, for JEE Main chemistry preparation, I focused on NCERT books during last months which helped a lot. However, before that, I used to practice study material given by my coaching institute. I consulted Cengage for maths and Pathfinder for physics.
Q. How helpful are previous year papers and mock tests for JEE Main preparation?
A. Previous years papers provide you with an understanding of the type of questions asked in JEE Mains. They are definitely beneficial as they help you to know your weak topics for each chapter. This saves you from making mistakes in exam if a question from that topic is asked. Mock tests help you to efficiently manage time during the paper and reduce silly mistakes.
Q. What message do you have for future JEE aspirants?
A. I would like to tell future JEE aspirants that do not ignore any topic while preparing for JEE Main exam because at the last moment, no one gets time to revise everything thoroughly. If you have left any topic, mental pressure increases which will affect your JEE Main preparation. Also, NCERT books are crucial for the chemistry section’s preparation for the JEE Mains exam.
Q. Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
A. My biggest inspiration is my elder brother who is currently pursuing MTech in computer technology from IIT Delhi.
Q. Will you be appearing for any other exam?
A. Yes, I will be appearing for JEE Advanced 2023, which is scheduled to take place on June 4, 2023.

With a 300 SC category rank in CAT, your chances for NIT Trichy MBA are relatively high. Based on 2025 data, NIT Trichy generally shortlists SC candidates with CAT percentiles around 60-65. To achieve a 300 rank under SC category, you would need about a 65-70 percentile, or a score of roughly 60-65

Honestly, going for CSE at Chandigarh University with your score sounds like a solid choice. I'm saying this because CU has become a hub for tech placements and internships, and the environment is pretty competitive in a good way. Your 88 percentile in JEE Main could also land you a scholarship, whi
