GUJCET Exam Pattern 2026: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has released the GUJCET 2026 exam pattern. Candidates can check the GUJCET paper pattern details here to know sections, total number of questions, exam time duration, number of sections, and marking scheme. The GUJCET 2026 exam will be conducted in offline mode as a pen-and-paper-based test. There will be two papers in the GUJCET 2026 exam, wherein Paper 1 will comprise questions in Physics and Chemistry, and Paper 2 will comprise questions in Mathematics. The exam will have a total of 120 questions of 1 mark each, 40 each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

The total duration of exam is 3 hours. There will be negative marking of 0.25 in case of incorrect answer. Candidates should also check the GUJCET question papers to understand the exam pattern. Checking the GUJCET previous year question papers will also help candidates to understand the weightage of subject-wise topics and exam difficulty level. GUJCET Exam Pattern 2026

There will be two papers. Paper 1 will have questions from Physics and Chemistry, and Paper 2 will have questions from Mathematics.  

The first paper is held in the morning shift and consists of 80 questions, 40 each from Physics and Chemistry. The time duration will be 120 minutes. The second paper, will be held in afternoon shift and have 80 questions, 40 each from Mathematics and Biology.

Students must solve only Mathematics part of Paper 2 while Pharmacy aspirants must solve Biology section. Check table for more details about GUJCET 2026 exam pattern.

Along with the exam pattern, students must also check the GUJCET syllabus on which the question paper will be based. Yes, there is reservation in the GUJCET according to which 27% reservation is there for candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC). There are also provisions for widows, orphans, and students belonging to the Economically Backward Class (EWS). However, students will have to check the detailed notification for the same.

Q:   What is the GUJCET admission process?

The GUJCET admission process includes registration, appearing for the exam, participating in the counselling, paying the fee and finally reporting to the college.

Q:   Who can apply for the GUJCET form?
A: 

Candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria of GUJCET can fill the application form. The GUJCET eligibility criteria is mentioned here - 

  • Candidates must be a resident of Gujarat
  • The minimum age limit must be 17 years

Being an entrance exam there are no course fees for the same. However, after you get admission into the college you will have to pay the college fees which will depend upon the college and GUJCET doesn't have any say in that.

As the GUJCET is just an entrance exam, there are no scholarships here. However, if you get shortlisted for a college, you might enquire for scholarships of that particular college.
