WBJEE JELET 2025 Pattern (OUT): Get Latest Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

The authorities will release the WBJEE JELET exam pattern online at wbjeeb.nic.in. Candidates will be able to access all details related to the entrance examination through the WBJEE JELET exam pattern. No other mode will be used by the authorities to make the WBJEE JELET exam pattern available. Through the exam pattern, the candidates will be able to understand how the exam will be held and accordingly prepare for it. As per the official exam pattern of WBJEE JELET, the authorities will conduct the exam as a pen-and-paper-based test.

WBJEE JELET marking scheme will be released online by the authorities. Candidates are advised to check the marking scheme carefully to know how their answers will be allotted marks. The category-wise marking scheme of WB JELET is given below.

• Category 1 - 1 mark will be given for every correct answer. ¼ marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
• Category 2 - All correct options will be allotted 2 marks. For any combination of answers containing one or more incorrect options, the answer will be treated as incorrect, and it will yield zero. For partially correct answers, i.e., when all correct options are not marked and also no incorrect options are marked, then the marks awarded will be = 2 x (no of correct options marked/total number of actually correct options).

WBJEE JELET will be held as an offline test. Candidates have to visit allotted centres to attempt entrance examination. Out of the provided options in WBJEE JELET question paper, candidates will have to select their correct answer.

WBJEE JELET exam pattern is released online. Exam will have two categories. Category I have 1 mark questions and Category II have 2 mark questions. There are 80 questions in Category I and 20 questions in Category II.

WBJEE JELET will be held in English language. Authorities will not use any other medium of language for entrance examination. Questions will be prepared in English and candidates will have to check questions and mark correct answer out of the given options.

It is important for candidates to be familiar with WBJEE JELET exam pattern before starting preparation. By knowing exam pattern beforehand, candidates can know what to expect in exam. WBJEE JELET syllabus is prepared and released online by the authorities. The subjects, units and topics that have to be studied for the entrance examination is available through the JELET syllabus. Candidates will have to prepare topics of 11th and 12th standard Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Addtional topics of Fundamentals of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (JELET) also have to be studied for the entrance examination. 

The official WBJEE JELET 2025 exam date has been announced. The authorities conducted WBJEE JELET 2025 as an offline test on October 18, 2025. All registered candidates had to attempt the entrance examination and qualify for counselling.

While attempting WBJEE JELET, candidates will have to answer question on OMR sheet by darkening appropriate bubble marked A, B, C or D. Candidates should use only black/blue ball point pen to mark answer by completely filling up respective bubbles.

According to WBJEE JELET exam pattern, candidates have to answer Category I and II questions. In Category II, candidates do not have to answer questions from Fundamentals of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Category I and II will have questions from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
