The official marking scheme of KLEEE is released by the authorities of the KL University. As per the official marking scheme, for every correct answer one mark will be allotted. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. Unanswered questions will not be negatively marked and will be left as unattempted. Since there is no negative marking, the candidates are advised to attempt as many questions as possible. This will raise their chances of scoring well in the entrance examination.
As per KLEEE exam pattern, total duration of KLEEE is 3 hours. All candidates will have to complete entrance examination within allotted time. A total of 75 questions from three sections have to be answered by candidates in examination.

According to the KLEEE question paper, there will be three sections. Candidates will have to answer multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. All of the questions for these sections will be prepared from the KLEEE syllabus. The difficulty level of the questions in these sections will be equivalent to the 12th standard qualifying exam.
