Latest Changes in the SRMJEEE Exam Pattern
In recent years, there has been a change in the SRMJEEE exam pattern. As per the change, instead of answering 125 questions candidates will need to tackle 130 questions. Also the structure has changed slightly, according to which the SRMJEEE exam pattern earlier used to have five sections, but now it has four.
The English and Aptitude sections have been merged into one combined section, which will now include a total of 20 questions. Previously, there were 5 questions in English and 10 in Aptitude, and they were treated as two separate sections.
However, rest of the SRMJEEE 2026 exam pattern remains the same. The Math/Biology section will still have 40 questions, while the Physics and Chemistry sections will each contain 35 questions.
Scoring will be consistent with last year’s rules; each correct answer will earn candidates 3 marks, and there will be no penalties for wrong answers. In total, the exam is worth 130 marks, compared to 125 in the past, and the duration remains at 2 hours and 30 minutes.
