MHT CET Exam Pattern 2026: The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell will soon release the MHT CET 2026 exam pattern for both PCM and PCB groups. As per the last year MHT CET exam Pattern information available on the official website, the MHT CET 2026 PCM paper will have a total of 150 MCQ questions, 50 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In the PCB group exam, there will be 100 MCQ questions from Biology and 50 each from Physics and Chemistry. The exam will be conducted online in Computer Based Test mode and the total duration of the paper will be 3 hours for both PCM and PCB group. There is no negative marking in MHT CET exam but the level of questions are similar to JEE MainThe MHT CET 2026 question paper will have 20% questions from the class 11, and 80% from the class 12 MHT CET syllabus.

MHT CET 2026 Difficulty Level

The difficulty level of MHT CET is similar to JEE Main, as stated by the exam conducting authority. MHT CET 2026 will be conducted in two slots. As per the previous year question paper, it has been observed that the MHT CET exam was quite the same as JEE Main. On the other hand, the difficulty level of Biology has been at par with the NEET UG exam. For candidates seeking admission to Engineering and Technology degree courses, it is mandatory to appear for Paper-1 and Paper-2. The questions in the MHT CET exam will be application-based.

It is unlikely you will get VJTI for Textile Engineering with a score of 82.83 and a rank of 56753 in the EWS category (rank 3705). The cutoff for VJTI's Textile Technology programme is generally higher than the scores you've mentioned, especially for the EWS category.

With 63.57% in MHT CET, you do have a fair chance to get B.Tech in Fashion Technology at D.K.T.E. Institute, especially if you're in a reserved category or from the home state. Fill it in your CAP options and keep backup colleges too, just in case the cutoffs go higher this year.

With 55 percentile in MHT CET and OBC category, you may get admission in some private engineering colleges in Pune like Zeal College, JSPM, Trinity, or PCCOE (lower branches). It's tough for top ones like COEP or VIT Pune. Try for spot rounds and fill all options during CAP rounds to improve chances
