Importance of Solving BITSAT Question Papers

Question papers are often considered as one of the important and most-commonly used strategies that are followed while preparing for BITSAT. Listed below are some of the advantages that the candidates can have while solving the BITSAT question papers.

Q:   Are mock tests important for BITSAT preparation?

Yes. The students should attempt BITSAT mock test so that they are able to understand the exam pattern well. Mock tests will also help the students to know the high weightage topics and recurring questions. Another advantage of the mock test is that the students can boost their time management skills and be well prepared for the exam.

Q:   Are NCERT books important for BITSAT syllabus?
A: 

Since the level of the BITSAT syllabus is similar to the 11th and 12th standard qualifying exam, the students are advised to prepare for the exam with their NCERT books. Through the NCERT books, the students will be able to understand the subjects and their topics well. However, other books should also be referred to have a more conceptual understanding.

Q:   What is the level of the BITSAT syllabus?
A: 

The level of the BITSAT syllabus will be similar to the 11th and 12th standard qualifying examination. Students should carefully check the syllabus and prepare according to the topics and units that are mentioned. The syllabus will assess the aptitude of the students.

How to incorporate BITSAT question papers in the preparation process?

Students can incorporate the BITSAT question papers in their daily preparation process to strengthen their hold on their study strategy. The question papers can be used to know the common questions and repeated topics which are likely to repeat in the exam. These topics and questions can be checked and studied carefully for definite scores. Students can do their daily revision by solving question papers within the allocated time, so that they get to know the exam environment while reviewing what they have studied. Atleast one paper should be solved daily to be prepared well for the exam.

Q:   What is the division of questions in BITSAT pattern?
A: 

The BITSAT question paper is divided into four section. For the Mathematics/Biology section, there will be 40 questions. Physics and Chemistry will have 30 questions in each section. Logical Reasoning will have 20 and English Proficiency will have 10 questions. There will 130 questions in the question paper.

Q:   How can I attempt the BITSAT additional questions?
A: 

The BITSAT additional questions will be available for the students if they have attempted all 130 questions and still have time left. No additional time will be given to the students to complete the additional 12 questions. This allows the students to have a scope to score extra marks in the exam.

Q:   What is the total duration of the BITSAT exam?
A: 

The students will be given 3 hours to complete their BITSAT exam. No extra time will be allotted to the students to complete their paper. All 130 questions have to be answered within the given time, and if there is still some time left then the students will be able to allowed to attempt 12 additional questions.

The official date for the BITSAT direct admission registration will be announced soon. Board toppers who meet the basic eligibility criteria can register for the direct admissions. No BITSAT score will be needed by the board toppers to secure a seat in the BITS campuses.

Yes, the students will be able to pay the BITSAT counselling fee offline. To make the offline payment, the students will have to pay through cash at any ICICI bank branch, along with a generated pay-in slip. Online payment methods are also available.

Yes, the students will have to pay the BITSAT counselling fee. To be registered for the counselling process, a fee of INR 1000 has to be paid. If the students fail to pay the fee before the final date, then they will not be considered for the allotment and admission process.
