
MHT CET Exam Pattern 2026: The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell will soon release the MHT CET 2026 exam pattern for both PCM and PCB groups. As per the last year MHT CET exam Pattern information available on the official website, the MHT CET PCM paper will have a total of 150 MCQ questions, 50 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In the PCB group exam, there will be 100 MCQ questions from Biology and 50 each from Physics and Chemistry. The exam will be conducted online in Computer Based Test mode and the total duration of the paper will be 3 hours for both PCM and PCB group. There is no negative marking in MHT CET exam but the level of questions are similar to JEE Main. The MHT CET 2026 question paper will have 20% questions from the class 11, and 80% from the class 12 MHT CET syllabus.

Calculators are not allowed in MHT CET exam. However, you will get virtual calculator during the exam which can be used to solving lengthy calculations. Virtual calculator is available on computer screen during test and can be used by clicking on calculator link. Practice numerical questions to avoid virtual calculator as much as you can since these calculators can take much time.
There are 150 MCQs asked in MHT CET exam question paper with four options in each question and only one option is correct. Fifty questions are asked from each subject including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. This is an online computer-based test.
MHT CET 2026 Difficulty Level
The difficulty level of MHT CET is similar to JEE Main. As per previous year question paper, it has been observed that the MHT CET exam was quite the same as JEE Main. On the other hand, difficulty level of Biology was also at par with NEET UG exam. For candidates seeking admission to Engineering and Technology degree courses, it is mandatory to appear for Paper-1 and Paper-2. The questions in the MHT CET exam will be application-based. It is not compulsory to attempt all the question in MHT CET exam. Students are advised to attempt only those questions for which they know the correct answer. Questions for which the answer is not sure should be left. However, as there is NO negative marking in MHT CET exam, questions for which answer is doubtful can be attempted in last. Students gets All India Rank based on the marks they secure in exam and gets admission based on that rank.

MHT CET paper do not have negative marking for incorrect answer. In MHT CET exam, Physics and Chemistry question is of 1 marks. No marks are deducted for unattempted questions. For any question, if none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or dropped, then full marks will be awarded to all candidates irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.
The time duration for MHT CET is 3 hours. There are no breaks in between this exam. You can leave once exam is completed. There will be 150 questions in total from 3 subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Answer a minimum of 75 questions. There is no separate time for any subject. Start with any subject based on your choice.
Maharashtra CET Cell conducts MHT CET exam in online mode as a computer-based test. MHT CET exam is conducted for two different courses; BTech, and BPharma. The exam for both BTech and BPharma is completely online. The exam is held across various test cities in India.
Maharashtra CET Cell conducts MHT CET exam in three languages. These are Marathi, Urdu, and English. Students will select the language of their choice while filling out the application form.
