SRMJEEE Exam Pattern 2027: The SRM Institute of Science and Technology will soon release the exam pattern of SRMJEEE 2027. As per the existing pattern, the question paper will have a total 130 multiple choice questions (MCQ) of 1 mark each. There is no negative-marking in SRMJEEE exam.

The SRMJEEE is held in online, remote proctored mode. Students can take the exam from any place of their choice using personal laptops/computers with a web camera. The difficulty level of exam is easy-to-moderate level and questions will be based from class 11 and 12 NCERT Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Bio. SRMJEEE is held in online proctored mode. This means candidates can take the exams from their homes and they do not have to visit any exam center for taking the exam. Proctored exams are timed exams that you take while proctoring software monitors your computer's desktop, webcam video and audio. In Proctored Online Exam, you will be under constant observation during the entire duration of the test via artificial intelligence tools and live monitoring by the proctors. Any suspected activity will lead to the immediate termination of exam. The AI tools will be able to detect any movement of face or eyeballs and highlight the same automatically. Thus, the candidate will be under constant vigilance of proctor through live feed to deter any suspicious activity of the candidate.

Latest Changes in SRMJEEE Exam Pattern

The SRMJEEE exam pattern was changed in 2025. The following changes were implemented

  • English and Aptitude section were merged into one single section. They were separate sections until 2024.
  • Total number of questions increased to 130 from 125. The five questions were added in English and Aptitude section.

No changes were made in marking scheme or any other sections, except the two mentioned above.

Physics: The physics section will have 35 questions and will carry 35 marks. All questions in this section will be of MCQ type. The level of the questions asked in this section will be 10+2 level.

Chemistry: This section will have 10+2 level questions asked in MCQ format. The total marks in this section will be 35. The total number of questions in this section will be 35.

Maths or Biology: Candidates who attempt Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English & Aptitude in SRMJEEE(UG) are eligible for all the BTech Degree Programs. However, the candidates who aspire to join the Biotech, Biotech (Genetic/Regenerative) and Biomedical courses have to attempt the Biology section. The total marks in this section is 40 and has 40 questions.

Aptitude and English: This section will have 20 questions of 20 marks. This section is included in the exam to test the aptitude of the candidates based on some general topics of 10+2 level. To get a sense of the candidate's grasp of the English language, this section has been included in the test.

The syllabus of SRMJEEE is mostly based on 10 and 10+2 level and the questions are based on Science subjects predominantly PCM or PCB. Here we have share shared the SRMJEEE B.Tech syllabus -

Part 2 - Chemistry (35 questions) - Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, p-Block Elements, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, 'D' and 'F' block elements, Organic compounds containing Nitrogen, Coordination Compounds, Biomolecules, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes.
