SRMJEEE is an annual entrance test conducted by SRMIST to shortlist candidates for various technical and non-technical courses for its participating campuses. As per exam pattern, the test is held for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Candidates are awarded 1 mark for each correct answer. The question paper consist of 125 MCQs based on the syllabus of Class 11th and 12th for PCM/B and English & Aptitude.

What is the SRMJEEE syllabus?

The syllabus of SRMJEEE is mostly based on 10 and 10+2 level and the questions are based on Science subjects predominantly PCM or PCB. SRMJEE is the exam conducted by the SRM University and if you are preparing for the JEE exam than it is more than enough for you and you don't have to prepare from somewhere else. There are total of 360 marks and of 120 questions in total which has 4 sections and they are as follows: Mathematics Chemistry Physics English and logical reasoning In mathematics, mainly focus on your basics using NCERT and mainly focus on speed and accuracy. There will only be questions. In physics, prepare using HC Verma volume 1 and 2. Study through the NCERT books. In Chemistry, prepare using NCERT books and that will be more than enough. For English, prepare using NCERT books of class 11th and 12th. JEE Preparations are more than enough for SRMJEE. No one (usually) prepares for SRMJEE separately. You study for JEE give your exams book a slot for SRMJEE as per your convenience (after JEE-Main obviously) study the extra portion and practice the mock test of SRMJEE as many as possible. Just focus on speed and accuracy for SRMJEE. Just be aware of silly mistake made in questions are easy because choices are really confusing.

SRMJEEE Exam Pattern 2027: The SRM Institute of Science and Technology will soon release the exam pattern of SRMJEEE 2027. As per the existing pattern, the question paper will have a total 130 multiple choice questions (MCQ) of 1 mark each. There is no negative-marking in SRMJEEE exam.

The SRMJEEE is held in online, remote proctored mode. Students can take the exam from any place of their choice using personal laptops/computers with a web camera. Latest Changes in SRMJEEE Exam Pattern

The SRMJEEE exam pattern was changed in 2025. The following changes were implemented

English and Aptitude section were merged into one single section. They were separate sections until 2024.
Total number of questions increased to 130 from 125. The five questions were added in English and Aptitude section.

No changes were made in marking scheme or any other sections, except the two mentioned above.

Maths or Biology: Candidates who attempt Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English & Aptitude in SRMJEEE(UG) are eligible for all the BTech Degree Programs. However, the candidates who aspire to join the Biotech, Biotech (Genetic/Regenerative) and Biomedical courses have to attempt the Biology section. The total marks in this section is 40 and has 40 questions.

Aptitude and English: This section will have 20 questions of 20 marks. This section is included in the exam to test the aptitude of the candidates based on some general topics of 10+2 level. To get a sense of the candidate's grasp of the English language, this section has been included in the test.
