HPBOSE Class 12 exam pattern has been revised to ensure transparency in the evaluation process. The revised pattern will be implemented from this year's HPBOSE 12th 2026 exam.

HPBOSE Class 12 exam pattern has been revised. This year's board exams will be conducted as per the revised exam pattern. According to the HPBOSE Class 12 revised exam pattern, all the sets of the question papers will have same questions. However, their sequence will be changed. The boards have introduced MCQ questions. MCQs will account for 20 per cent of the total marks.

The duration of HPBOSE Class 12 is three hours. In the morning session, the exam is conducted for regular students from 8.45 am to 12 pm. The exam for the open school is held in the afternoon session from 1.45 pm to 5 pm. Candidates get 15 minutes to read the question paper.

HP Board Class 12 exam carries 100 marks. The duration of the written exam is 3 hours. The exam pattern outlines the chapter-wise marks weightage, marking scheme according to the question type, total marks, and exam duration. The questions are divided into objective type, very short answer, short answer and long type.

HPBOSE 12th exam will be conducted only once a year in pen and paper format. HP Board has not released any official notification yet regarding conducting the exams twice.

The HP Board 12th exams 2026 will be held between March 3 and April 1, 2026 in pen and paper format. The HP Board 12th date sheet 2026 mentions the exam days, dates and timings for all subjects. Students must download and take a printout of the HPBOSE 12th date sheet 2026 and keep it secure with them to refer it till their exams get over.

HPBOSE 12th exams 2026 will be conducted from 9:45 am to 1 pm for the regular students. The maximum marks of the exam for each subject is 100.

Students will not be promoted without securing the minimum passing marks of 33 in all subjects and also 33 percent in aggregate.

In case you are unable to score the passing marks in one or two subjects, you will be allowed to sit for the supplementary exams. You are advised to go through the Class 12th syllabus of your board, and know the exam pattern so that you can score well in exams.
