RBSE 12th Preparation Tips 2026

Students can also refer to the preparation tips and tricks below to know the right approach in taking the RBSE Class 12 examinations:

  1. Select a Proper Time to Start Preparing for the Board Exams: Every student has their own pace with which they can learn and understand things. Students must start with the preparations well in time.
  2. Have a Proper Schedule: Make a study schedule by giving proper time to everything. Get up early, eat your breakfast and then sit to study. Try not to be awake till late to study. Take some time out to relax and do any activity that would divert your attention from the exams.
  3. Try Not to Have Too Much in Your Plate: Study constructively by avoiding too many thoughts. Have a clear plan for studying by avoiding covering things that are beyond your reach. Instead of studying everything at once, always have realistic targets set for you to achieve. Make your day’s study schedule and try to follow that. It would help you in completing your syllabus on time.
  4. Mix and Match: You need to plan your day to study. Make sure you do not indulge in studying easy topics in a single day. To make the most of your day, try studying a light topic at the start of the day and then study a hard topic. As the day progresses, gradually increase your level of study. For example, studying English is easy for you and maths bit hard then start your day by completing two chapters of English. After that, complete a chapter of math in the latter half of the day.
  5. Meditate and Exercise: Meditation helps with improvement of concentration. It strengthens the mind and giving it the ability to focus, whereas exercise is an excellent way to burn your stress. It eases your mental stress. So, take a break from studying either by doing some exercise or meditate to relax your mind. You can go for a fifteen-minute walk or do yoga in the morning to calm your mind and body. Indulging in various other sports activity or yoga practices might help.
  6. Have a Proper Strategy to Learn Long Answers: Students tend to panic while learning long answers. Thus, to make it easy to engulf long answers make a strategy to do so. Either break them into small paragraphs for learning or write them down to learn. You may relate the lengthy answers to your everyday life. It would help your brain retain them for long.
  7. Avoid Distractions: It is better to stay away from watching long hours of TV series. They distract you. Avoid logging into your social media account time and again. Keep your mobile phone aside. If possible, cut down your TV cable connection to keep you away from unhealthy distractions. Avoid making plans about what you are going to do during vacations. Try to keep yourself away from distractions as much as you can to do good studying.
  8. Eating Habits: Being on a study break, you might want to eat something delicious. Junk does sound delicious but is not suitable for your health. To keep your body and brain in functioning order, eat food that is rich in nutrients. Food items like yoghurt, fish, nuts and blueberries help with concentration. On the exam day, eat a meal that is not high in sugar and is nutritious. It is because sugar tends to break the energy level quickly. Further, keep yourself hydrated. Drinking plenty of water during studying or on your exam day is essential for your brain. It would also help you to clear your head.
  9. Plan Exam Day: Make sure you complete your syllabus a day before the exam. Last-minute preparations won’t be right for you. Keep everything ready a night before the exam like your admit card, centre address and stationery items. Also, know the route to reach your exam centre. Make plans to travel to the exam hall with friends or classmates, only when you know they would be punctual.
  10. Take Regular Breaks: Do not sit and study for long hours as it might reduce your concentration level. Taking planned and proper breaks help with retaining knowledge. Prepare a study routine that suits you. Like if you are an early bird then get up early to study. If you like to study at night, then take a break in the evening to be productive at night. Everybody has different study routine, thus, always follow your own
