PSEB 12th Exam Pattern 2026: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) revised the PSEB Class 12 exam pattern 2026. According to the new paper pattern, there will be -

Reduction in Objective Questions (MCQs) - The share of objective-type questions has been reduced from 40 per cent to 25 per cent.

Questions to be Asked From Within the Chapter - Earlier, 100 per cent of questions were taken only from the exercises at the end of the textbook chapters. Now, at least 25 per cent of questions will come from within the chapter content itself, while the remaining 75 per cent will be from the exercises. This will require students to study the entire chapter in depth.

Increase in Difficulty Level - There has been a change in the distribution of difficulty level. Earlier, the PSEB exams were 40 per cent easy, 40 per cent average and 20 per cent difficult. After the introduction of changes, it will be 30 per cent easy, 40 per cent average and 30 per cent difficult.

The Board released the PSEB class 12 exam pattern 2026 on the official website for all subjects soon. Punjab Board releases the PSEB 12th exam pattern on- pseb.ac.in. The exam pattern shares the marking scheme, weightage of marks to all chapters, duration and more. The duration of each exam is 3 hours and the board will ask questions from the entire PSEB 12th syllabus 2026

A: 

Students must score atleast 33% marks in each subject to clear the PSEB class 10, 12 board exam 2026. Students must score overall 33 marks out of 100 in each subject. Theory papers of Punjab Board class 10, 12 are conducted for 80 marks and students must score at least 26 marks to clear the examination.
