UP Board Class 12 Preparation

  • Study textbooks thoroughly: As all the UP 12th books for commerce stream are NCERT books, the text is concise, even though the syllabi are quite lengthy. This makes it easier for students to study their books sincerely and thoroughly.
  • Solve all questions from the textbooks: The UP Board Class XII commerce examinations typically feature direct questions from the NCERT textbooks. That is why it’s best if students solve all questions from the textbooks.
  • Practice Accountancy and Mathematics problems: Accountancy and Mathematics are two subjects in which students have to show their problem-solving capabilities. The only way to develop these skills quickly is by solving problems given in the NCERT textbooks. Once the textbooks are covered, students can attempt questions from other resources.
  • Solve previous years’ question papers: Solving previous years’ question papers is an excellent way for students to familiarise with the question pattern. Students should try to solve the papers within the stipulated time.
  • Use guide books with solved question papers: Many guide books featuring solved question papers are available. If you face difficulty in solving question papers on your own, such guide books can be of help.
  • Schedule group studies: Group studies are helpful in terms of students learning from one another. If you are weak in a particular subject, you can schedule group study sessions with friends and help each other out in understanding concepts.
  • Attend classes at coaching centres: To keep up with the studies at school, students can also attend coaching classes so that they don’t fall out of touch with their subjects. Coaching classes also feature regular tests, which help students in maintaining high levels of preparation.
  • Take help of online resources: If students have problems in understanding core concepts, they can take the help of various online resources. There are several e-books and videos on platforms such as YouTube which can be helpful for students in understanding vital concepts in Accountancy, Business Organization, Mathematics and Economics.
  • Prepare your own answers: A lot of students don’t do well in their examinations as they rely too much on remembering things by heart. A better approach is to prepare your own answers. As long as the content is relevant to the question and makes sense grammatically, you will be awarded marks.
