Part-1 is Language Paper (Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Urdu, Sanskrit, Arabic, French, and German)

Minimum mark for a pass in each subject is 35 out of 100 marks subjected to the following conditions.
- For languages and for the subjects which do not have practical, student must have secured a minimum of 25 out of 90 marks.
- For the subjects consisting of theory and practical, student must have secured a minimum of 15 out of 70 marks in theory and must have appeared for practical.
- For vocational subjects consisting of practical only, student must have secured a minimum of 20 out of 75 marks in practical.
